Traveling to Belgrade
  • Airplane
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) is located approximately 20 km from the Metropol Palace. The hotel can be easily reached by taxi or public transportation.
  • By Car
Driving to Belgrade is a feasible option for those who enjoy road trips. Depending on your route, you can enter the city via the E-70 or E-75 highways. Tolls in Serbia can be paid in cash (EUR or RSD), by credit/debit card, or through an electronic payment method (though the latter is typically suitable only for frequent visitors). The Metropol Palace offers parking on the hotel premises, or you may choose to use the public parking garage “Vukov Spomenik,” which is about a 5 to 10-minute walk from the hotel. Please note that the daily parking fee is approximately 20 EUR at the Metropol Palace and 1,500 RSD (12.5 EUR) at the public garage.
  • Currency

The local currency in Serbia is the Serbian dinar (RSD). While cards are widely accepted at most businesses, cash payments in euros or US dollars are not permitted. However, in many bars and restaurants, the waiting staff may exchange currency for you at a slightly less favorable rate.

Currency exchange offices are readily available and typically offer guaranteed exchange rates. You should not encounter any fees or commissions for these services. To assist with your search for currency exchange, you can use the term "menjacnica."

From the Airport to the Hotel
To facilitate your travel to and from Belgrade Airport, the following options are available:
  • By Taxi
The cost of a taxi ride to or from Nikola Tesla Airport is fixed at approximately 25 EUR (3,000 RSD) per vehicle, accommodating up to four passengers. Taxi information stands are located in the arrivals lobby, providing details about the estimated fare for your specific destination. Licensed taxi drivers are obligated to honor the fare estimate provided by the information stands.
  • By Public Transportation
The A1 minibus is the primary public transportation option available at the airport. It operates from outside the arrivals lobby to Slavija Square, located in the center of Belgrade, with a travel time of about 30 minutes. The arrival station for the A1 minibus is approximately a 10- to 15-minute walk from the venue. A ticket costs 300 RSD (around 2.5 EUR) and can be purchased from the driver, with payment required in local currency. During peak hours, the minibus runs every 15 minutes. For a detailed timetable, please visit A1 Timetable.
